MBL Group, LLC. formed Stewardship Services to work exclusively with sustainable, mission driven companies and non-profit organizations. Our commitment to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility is deep and long standing. The practice is led by Jim Morris, co-founder of the MBL Group in 1992. He talks the language of sustainability and understands how the triple bottom line carries with it broad implications for human resources management.
Sustainable, mission driven companies and non-profit organizations face unique human resources issues. If employees are not engaged, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) becomes an exercise in public relations. Integrating sustainable practices into human resources programs and practices is a relatively new concept. The challenges are seen in every aspect of HR program design including Recruitment, Compensation and Benefit Programs, Performance Management, as well as Policies and Practices. The goal of these programs shifts to insuring that they are in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the organization making it clear that the organization is "walking the talk".
