People don't just automatically become good managers - they need to learn the right skills to bring out the best in people. The MBL Group Management Training Series is designed to give you and your managers highly effective skills in areas including employment law, interviewing, performance management, corrective action, discipline and termination. MBL offers a host of other sessions and has a track record of developing custom sessions that yield tangible results.

The sessions can be easily customized to meet the specific training needs of your organization. The sessions all combine both presentations and interactive training exercises. These exercises add an element of fun to the training and, more importantly, allow you and your managers to discuss and practice the skills you learn in each session.

A Practical Approach to Employment Law and Risk Management - Understanding the fundamentals of employment law gives you the ability to spot potential legal and labor issues in your organization and to take preventative actions to maintain a trouble-free workplace. This segment of the training includes exercises that gives you and your fellow participants the chance to put what you've learned into practice

Effective Interviewing:
Making the Right Decision the First Time - This session is designed to teach you the key elements of effective interviewing: how to develop a "shopping list" of the skills you're looking for in a potential employee; how to effectively assess a candidate based on the criteria you've developed; how to use behavioral-based interviewing techniques; and how to frame your interview questions and responses in a way that gives you useful information while avoiding legal pitfalls.

Elements of Coaching and Leadership - Performance coaching is not about money or filling out forms. It's about truly helping your employees to perform at their best. This training session covers how to coach for excellence, appraise performance accurately, set effective goals, and recognize and reward positive employee performance. It is designed to show you how to view performance management as an ongoing process that can be incorporated into the daily lives of your employees - not just a once-a-year review.

Performance Management and Corrective Action - The purpose of corrective action is to resolve performance problems by bringing them to an employee's attention in a clear and constructive way so he or she can improve. Not all corrective actions, however, lead to improved performance. This session explores the basics of corrective action, discipline and termination so you can use each of these procedures in the most effective and professional manner.

Customized Training - In addition to the popular Management Training Series, MBL will provide custom designed training to meet your needs. We have designed sessions covering numerous subjects including Project Management and Conducting Effective Meetings.
