Supervisor
Core Functions: Supervises maintenance and custodial
staff. Selects and oversees external vendors
and contract workers. Maintains and orders chemical,
janitorial and maintenance supplies. May assist
in identifying, prioritizing, planning and budgeting
capital improvement projects.
Requirements: 2+ years related experience typically
required. Associate's degree required, Bachelor's
degree preferred.

Specialist - Building
Core Functions: Oversees and assists with installation
and maintenance of equipment, fixtures, structures,
furniture, and other electrical systems in accordance
with local, state, or national codes. Maintains
plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Reviews
maintenance requests and recommends solutions.
Performs preventative upkeep.
Requirements: Journey level position, typically
requiring 2+ years equivalent experience or
vocational or apprenticeship training.

Specialist - Grounds
Core Functions: Performs maintenance, repair,
and construction on organization/park grounds
and facilities. Maintains landscape by planting,
pruning, watering, and fertilizing trees and
plants. Assists with layout, installation, and
maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
Performs grounds upkeep based on seasonal needs
(e.g., raking leaves, shoveling snow, and mowing
grass).
Requirements: 1+ years experience in park services,
public works, or related field preferred. High
School diploma or equivalency. Licenses as required
(CDL, Back Flow Device, Pesticide Application,
etc.).

| Custodian
Core Functions: Performs upkeep functions to
maintain the organization's physical facilities,
such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting,
and waxing. Responsible for emptying trash/recycling.
Keeps lavatories clean and supplied. Organizes
and recommends purchases for janitorial equipment
and supplies. Performs routine or preventative
maintenance as needed.
Requirements: 6+ months custodial experience
preferred.

| Electrician
Core Functions: Installs, connects, tests, and
maintains electrical systems for a variety of
purposes, including climate control, security,
and communications. Plans layouts and installs
wiring. Repairs multiple types of electrical
equipment, including wiring, fixtures, equipment,
motors, and fuse boxes.
Requirements: Journey level electrician position,
typically requiring vocational or apprenticeship
training or 3+ years equivalent experience.

| Millwright
Core Functions: Oversees all aspect of machinery
and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors,
and conveyor systems. Unloads and inspects machinery
upon arrival. Consults with production managers
and other key staff to determine optimal placement.
Repairs, replaces, and dismantles the machinery
and heavy equipment.
Requirements: Journey level millwright position,
typically requiring vocational or apprenticeship
training or 3+ years equivalent experience.

| Painter
Core Functions: Applies paint, stain, varnish,
and other finishes to building interior and/or
exterior and other structures. Analyzes surface
conditions and selects proper paint or finish.
Assembles scaffolding and mixes ingredients.
Prepares surfaces (stripping, sanding, washing,
wire brushing, repairs, etc.) and primes/seals
prior to finish coat. May assist with color
selection.
Requirements: Journey level painter position
requiring vocational or apprenticeship training
or 3+ years equivalent experience.

Laborer
Core Functions: Performs general, non-specialized
tasks. Assists with building/plant maintenance.
Performs maintenance service or repairs in two
or more skilled areas including plumbing, carpentry,
painting, and plastering, machine servicing,
electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle
servicing. Performs all work in accordance with
established safety procedures.
Requirements: Typically an entry level position
requiring little to no previous experience.

| Mechanic
- Facilities
Core Functions: Inspects, diagnoses, overhauls,
repairs, and maintains gasoline, diesel and
mechanical equipment and machinery such as automobiles,
vans, trucks, buses, and other similar means
of transportation, as well as backhoes, graders,
dump trucks, pumps, generators and air compressors.
May do some arc and gas welding and fabricate
parts. Performs repair work in the field as
required. Utilizes diagnostic approach to locate
and evaluate problems. Disassembles and overhauls
engines, transmissions, clutches, starters,
and other assemblies. May track and analyze
part usage.
Requirements: Journey level mechanic position,
requiring vocational or apprenticeship training
or equivalent experience.

| Heavy
Equipment Operator - Streets/Roads
Core Functions: Utilizes heavy equipment to
accomplish the more difficult and complex installation,
repair and/or maintenance work for streets and
roads. Operates equipment such as back hoes,
power shovels, bulldozers, asphalt pavers and
snowplows a majority of the work day.
Requirements: Journey level position, requiring
vocational or apprenticeship training or equivalent
experience. |
